So, winter is finally here. It's been snowing for some time now though at the moment the snow always tend to melt away just to come back the next day. It's looking really nice outside, frosty and white and damn do I love walking in the snow! I mean, when it's snowing. It just really gives me this ethereal, safe, dreamy feeling. It's great.

School's been good, we had this short course on studio photographing and it was awesome. Pure awesomeness, really. I love playing with the lights and all that! It's a much more controlled environment than outside and you get to really play with shadows and and and... It's just great. Too bad the course ended - but that also means that now I can use the studio whenever I want. Or, well, not entirely whenever I want but if no one else is using it. And that's a really big yay in my books!

Some of you might already know but I've been really into Buffy the Vampire Slayer lately. I started watching the series maybe two or three months ago and I love it. There are, of course, parts I don't like (like this one thing in the last episode of the series, really buggers me) but in general I love the show. Sometimes I hate Joss Whedon for doing what he does (like all those tragic character deaths and stuff) but I gotta say, the man's great. I also ordered the Angel series on DVD and I should be getting it in... Well, maybe a week or two. Can't wait! I've also watched the first season of Dollhouse (another one of Whedon's shows with Eliza Dushku, who played Faith in Buffy, as the main character) and I really liked that one, too.

And yes, I'm in fangirl mode. I just... Argh! I can't seem to get enough of the Buffyverse stuff. It's funny how one show can affect you like this but it does. The characters, the drama, the witty dialouge and all of that... I have to admit, I'm a big fan of the Spike&Buffy pairing. Real big fan. Too big fan, maybe.

Now I still have the last season of Battlestar Galactica to watch so I better get that one started... And yeah, I do have a life. Sometimes. Just not at the moment. *snort*

I've been on this role-playing forum for some time now already, it's called Endless Delirium ( http://endlessxdelirium.proboards.com/index.cgi ). It's a really nice place and you can do a lot more than just rp there - there are drabble contests, photography contests and just normal general discussion. Also, if you're interested in cosplay, there's a cosplay section, too. It was made by PaperCutPerfect aka Bloo on dA and there are some awesome people there.

I was thinking of making a rp of my own on the board. Something postapocalyptic, steampunkish and quite harsh. So if you're interested in that - or just role-playing in general or just a discussion board in general, do join! It's a nice place. :}

I went to Joensuu last Thursday and finally got to meet everyone from our NANA cosplay group (we were missing a few members at Animecon in the summer) and we had two photoshoots. First we shot some pictures at this school where an allnighter was held at the same time and on Sunday we went outside and shot at some old buildings and such places. It was simply awesome! I've been wanting to take proper cosplay pictures and have some good pictures of my Nana for ages and now both wishes were granted. I also had a really great time in Joensuu, thanks guys~

I've decided to get me a new Nana wig since the one I'm using now is a bit too short in the back - it's really hard to get my own hair beneath the wig. I also want to do more Nana costumes, maybe Yukari from Paradise Kiss and I just agreed to be Cornelia for our NANA group's Code Geass cosplay. It will be a challenge but hell, I'm ready to at least try.

That's it for now. I have to go to bed, have school tomorrow since I've been ditching a bit. Ahem, I'm a good, good student, yes.

Wow, I really suck at journals or anything even remotely related to a journal.

This will just be a quick entry, haven't got much to say. School has been normal, social life pretty much normal. I had a summer job, got fired and now am trying to get some money from the state. Hopefully I'll get it, because otherwise I don't know how I'm going to pay my next rent. I've also moved into a bigger apartment - my sister's former apartment, since she's staying in Switzerland for a while - and my sister visiting me at the moment.

In a bit over a week will be Ropecon (a convention for role-playing games and such) and I'll be dressed as Jenna Angel from Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga (a great game, by the way). Well, that is, if I can finish the costume. I've been a bit lazy on that part...

Well, tomorrow I'll start with the costume. And with the costume I have to make for my friend, too. It'll be a busy week.

Damn, I never knew LJ layouts could be so hard to understand. I study multimedia and have no idea what to do. I've looked through some tutorials and they don't really tell me anything. I don't really care about my own layout, but I made one for someone else and now I should insert the header, sidebars and background gradient into a style sheet. But damn, I am too stupid to do it. I guess I have to ask for help, I think one girl from our school knows how to do that stuff.

Otherwise life is rolling nicely. I should do an icon/logo for myself for school tomorrow. It should consist of just text. Argh! And I fail at Devil May Cry 4. Really.

Tein tämän tilin oikeastaan puhtaasti vakoilutarkoituksessa, mutta kun se kerta on olemassa, voin saman tien kirjoittaa jotain - etenkin kun tänä kesänä on suhteellisen vähän ohjelmaa ja paljon nörttäilyaikaa. Nörttäily onkin melkein ainoa asia, mitä viime aikoina olen tehnyt.

Toissapäivänä oli inssi ja se meni kauniisti läpi. Kaksi huomautusta tuli, mutta sain myös saman verran kehuja. Nyt sitä on ajeltu sinne tänne äitiä, kavereita ja tavaroita kuskatessa. Moottoritie on ystävä.

Nyt sitten istun kotona koneen ääressä tultuani juuri viemästä äitiä Haapanantielle selvittämään välejään miesystävänsä kanssa. Saa nähdä, mitä siitäkin tulee. Onneksi sentään sovittiin, että lähdetään joka tapauksessa Jenkkilään, vaikka sitten ystävinä - ei siis tarvitse mitään erityisiä säätöjä, että pääsen kesällä näkemään Colleenin.

Muutto Lahteen olisi joskus heinäkuun alussa - läksiäispiknik pidettiin jo eilen. Toivottavasti pääsen Kupomiittiin siitäkin huolimatta, jos vaikka saisimme pakettiauton jotenkin järkevään aikaan käyttöön. Aina voi toivoa.

Juhannus jatkuu nörttäilyn merkeissä. En oikein Omaken pippaloihin viitsinyt lähteä yskässä ja lievässä kuumeessa. Koitelinkoskella tosin käytiin äidin kanssa.
